The generic process you can expect the art of bathrooms approach to be to your bathroom renovation is as follows:

- The electrician and plumber will need to disconnect all the fittings.
- All the tiling will be removed, in some cases a jack hammer may be needed to remove old floor tiles.
- The plumber and electrician may need to chase in the new services lines if you have moved positions of fittings.
- The floor and wall surfaces will be prepared; this could be either re-lining with new materials or patching the existing cement render.

- The waterproof membrane will be applied and needs to be allowed to dry before tiling can start, this generally will take 24 hours.
- The bath and toilet will be set into position.
- The tiling will be done, firstly glued into position and then, generally the following day, the grouting will be applied.
- The taps and fittings will be put into place.
- Generally the shower screen cannot be measured until the tiling has been complete and will then be installed, usually a week after the final check measure.
